Raker tooth, W

Rake angle 00 , for cutting short-chipping materials, steels witf high carbon content, tool steel and cast iron, small cross-sections, thinwalled profiles.

Hook tooth WP+WEP

Rake anglepositive, for cutting long-chipping, tough materials, nonferrous metals and steels with <0,80 % carbon content, heat-treated steels, rüşt-and acid-proof steels, large cross-sections.

Skip tooth

Rake angle 00 , for cutting brittle materials and larger cross-sections .

Profile

Rake angle slightly positive, for cutting hollow perofiles, angle profiles, beams, bundle and layer cuts, cuting tasks leading to vibrations.

BREAKING-IN A BAND SAW BLADE

In order to achieve the largest possible cutting rate of an unused or re-sharpened band saw blade you have to observe the following points:

The cutting speed should be most suitable with regard to the matewrial to be cut( in case of strong vibrations the cutting speed has to be changed)

Reducing the feed rate by %50

The target should be approx. 15 min or a tool life approx.300 cm2.

By keeping this procedure you will achieve reduced chip thickness and avoid the risk of prematüre tooth splintering.
